in my finger-nail 

an appliance to press a button
and figure out

what value in my orifices
to be found, today

to wipe my metal clean 
and replace me as history 

dictates.

o! to be a kitchen

to be anonymous and repeated in
every single home across america

to be vulgar 
and eaten 

and to be a window
from which you can watch

but still not see.
